This session was one of my favourites, not just because I was finally able to do work at LCF but because was the one I felt most pleased with the work I did.
I managed to create some interesting work from my V&A research. I liked the outcome of my collages as they didn’t make any sense but looked cool and different at the time. The sketches that were able to be produce from this collages were even more exciting then the collages itself. I did enjoyed most of my sketches and final pieces outcomes from this research, they followed the purpose of creating something from my visual research and they were cool and satisfied my perfectionist mind.
On the other hand, I believe that I could have maybe been more bold with my sketches. I did stuck with more traditional formats then what I could have done with the different shapes I had and I lacked some artistically and creatively perspective from my sketches, they felt more commercial. For the collages I regret not doing them in predisposed figures, as they look a little random and prearranged in my sheets, but other than that they look unusual and I can see some great mixture of techniques (collages and hand drawing).
Overall, reflecting on today’s work I feel very comfortable, satisfied and even happy with my outcomes. Obviously there is plenty of room for improvement as I go through my fashion career, but for this work I am compelled to believe is enough.
