Toolbox session 8

For this sessions our task felt lighter and easier than the ones I had done before. I think it was because I had something already prearranged from the toolbox session before, but it was easier for me to do the illustration.
I ended up doing a few more than what I was told to do, which I believe contribute enormsly to my final project. However, I realized I have so much to improve when it comes to illustration.
Firstly, I discovered the art of watercolour which I do not mastered and do not feel confident. There many points that I could improve when using this colouring technique such as being more precise with my brush strokes, understadinh how to create shades and highlights. I felt like I didn’t know what I was doing at first with the watercolour, but then at the end I was quite satisfied with my results. I wished that I had done it in a bigger piece of paper so it would show the details and would be a better worl as well. Unfortunately, I thought of it far too late, at least by reflecting on it I can see I have plenty of room to improve in watercolour.
The next technique I used was coloured pencils, one that I feel much more comfortable using. Although I have more experienced with this coloring styled I don’t believe it was the one that suited me better for this task. The sketches I had to colour were huge, so it took me a long time to finally be able to finish which I don’t mind, but sometimes when I have to stay long hours on one single sketch I feel parts feel sloppy. Also, since it has a bug dimension I feel like I couldn’t get the desired effect on some detailes. Nevertheless, I really love how my coloured pencil drawings turns out, I think I was able to communicate what I wanted from my designs and deliver a nica piece of art for my final presentation
