Reflecting on this task I could see how much I developed throughout the term, how much I learned and how I understood better what the assignment was asking from me.
For the first part lf analysing a fashion show I think it was the trickiest. Mainly because I have never done one, but also because I felt that it turned out more superficial than I thought. However, I do think I was able t gather the right amount of information to put into this work.
The second part was the hardest for me. To mix my identity, research and references with another brand I don’t actually or, better yet, deeply know was hard. I started with many doodles, ideas anf gather different research for this particular design, but when I was putting both aesthetics together I wasn’t liking the results. They felt too distant, or they felt more me and didn’t sync with the brand, I thought it was very different and not in conversation with the brand I chose to do my collaboration with. After many, many trys I think I was able to put together something that represented the brand aesthetic but also contained some of my identity and research. I did loved the way it turned out, I would buy the shoes I made which I think is a great way to end this project because I don’t usually feel the most confident with it.
For the final layout of this project, I loved how aesthetically it turned out. I believe that the statement about the fashion show came out nicely put, maybe I could have found or put more information, but I believe it looked ok. As for the selling ad, I think it showed both identities and was a good selling point, although there is room to improve in how can I make it more exciting for costumers as I thought it was a little boring.
